Thanks for visting my blog! My name is Diane O’Neil and I live in beautiful Allen, Texas with my three kids. Their ages are 21, 17 and 13. This is the second time I’ve done the single-mom-thing. I like to think that I’ve learned a few things from my own experiences, and certainly from the experiences of others.
I’d like to share the valuable lessons I’ve learned with other single moms around the world, and try to make life just a bit easier. It isn’t easy raising kids, either with or without a partner. We need all the help we can get!
So, why am I focusing on single moms, and not including single dads? There are a lot of them in the world today, right? Of course, and they have a lot of tough issues to face every day, just like we do. But they’re different issues. I know about the trials that I face, and that other women in my position face. I’m going to write about what I know. Also, girls have to stick together! Girlfriends are very important in our lives – we need to make time for each other in the good times, and the bad.
I recently started a website that I call You Won’t Learn This In School. There are so many life lessons that kids don’t learn in school. How do we, as parents, know what to teach them? This site is a collection of valuable material that gives parents some useful tools that will give the kids some guidance.
